Stupid Casting 101

To anyone who doesn't know, I'm not a fan of Megan Fox. Scratch that, I think she is the worst actress to ever hit it big, she cannot act to save her life and the only good film she's ever done is How To Lose Friends and Alienate People, although she was still terrible in that, Simon Pegg and Kirsten Dunst are the ones who make the film worth watching. After her lack of films since Transformers 2, I thought that she would finally be gone from the film world. Then this happens:

Has there ever been greater miscasting than Megan Fox as April O'Neil. I mean she cannot act to save her life and if she tries to do April as a journalist, it's going to come across as "Meg-Ryan-Helicopter-Pilot" Syndrome (familiar to all those who watch Wittertainment).

Ugh, between this and the involvement of Michael Bay and Jonathan Liebesman, it looks like the new TMNT will become a Transformers 2 style disaster of a film.

Anyway, Mark Kermode and the Nostalgia Critic said it best when it comes to Michael Bay's directorial style, he has a porn director's sensibility (reviews making mention of this below)

UPDATE: It has now been made clear that there were other actresses in consideration for April O'Neil, those being Jane Levy, Elizabeth Olsen and Anna Kendrick. That makes me wonder who Fox has to pay to get the role. I mean all of the other actresses were great for the role, especially Kendrick who I feel would have been perfect. All of this shows that Bay and Liebesman don't care about delivering a film, not a good film mind you, just a film in general.
